Bill Deaton is the owner of B&D Business Services, which specializes in income tax preparation, payroll processing and bookkeeping.

Bill has prepared taxes since 1990 where he started as a staff accountant at a regional CPA firm in Charlotte , NC. Bill became a partner in this firm for 9 years before leaving to take over B&D Business Services in 2006. His public accounting experience has provided him with exposure and expertise in handling any non-publically held business entity’s tax and accounting needs.

Bill works extensively with clients on tax planning and always encourages them to let him know of any major events in their life that may affect their taxes such as retirement distributions or starting a new business, etc.

As a small business owner, Bill has specific experience in dealing with complex small business issues such as employee/independent contractor determination and in helping owners with the tax implications of a sale of their business.

Bill has an avid interest in muscle cars and also authors a monthly column about classic cars for the local newspaper.

Bill is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s, National Association of Tax Professionals, a Quickbooks Proadvisor and an authorized IRS e-file provider.
